Carbon dioxide is a colourless and odourless gas that occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It is produced by various processes, including the respiration of living organisms, fossil fuel combustion and deforestation. Although carbon dioxide is essential for life on earth, in excess it can lead to an enhanced greenhouse effect and climate change.

A commonly used method for measuring carbon dioxide is the infrared absorption method. This method uses the ability of CO2 to absorb infrared light at specific wavelengths. By measuring the absorption of infrared light, we can accurately determine the concentration of CO2 in a given environment.

At Carltech, we offer a wide range of CO2 measurement instruments for different applications. Whether you need to monitor air quality, or measure high CO2 concentrations  (up to 100%) in a process, we have the right solution for you.
