Ammonia
Ammonia is a colourless gas with a pungent odour composed of nitrogen and hydrogen atoms. The chemical symbol for ammonia is NH3. It is widely used in various industries and applications because of its versatility, but, in addition, unwanted emissions of ammonia are also common.
The release of ammonia has a negative impact on the environment. Ammonia can leach into soil and water sources, affecting water quality and damaging ecosystems. Moreover, ammonia deposition can lead to soil and water acidification, which is harmful to plants and animals. To reduce ammonia emissions, several measures are taken.
To detect the presence of ammonia, Carltech supplies various measuring instruments, taking into account the extremely good solubility of this gas in water, so that there is no distortion in the presence of moisture.
