Hydrogen (H2) is a chemical element found in abundance in nature. It is the most abundant element in the universe and can be produced from various sources, such as water and fossil fuels. What makes hydrogen so interesting is its potential as a clean and renewable energy source. When hydrogen is burned, only water is released.
One of the biggest advantages of hydrogen is that it can be used as an energy storage medium. Electricity can be used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis. The hydrogen produced can then be stored and used when there is a demand for energy, such as during peak hours or in places where there is no direct supply of electricity.
In addition, hydrogen can be used as fuel for vehicles, such as cars, buses and trucks. Hydrogen fuel cells convert hydrogen into electricity, allowing vehicles to be powered in a clean and efficient way. This offers a promising alternative to fossil-fuel vehicles and helps reduce air pollution and dependence on oil.
